Riding motocross after getting LASIK in Colorado
Riding Motocross After Lasik - Places I like to ride
By John Miller, ICON LASIK Patient
After I received Lasik surgery in the Summer of 2002 I was once again free of the burden of wearing my contacts while riding. Wearing contacts while riding isn't a big deal if there isn't any dust. But once the dust starts to kick up my contacts would get irritated, not fun when you're riding at 10,000 feet with five bikes in front of you.
I was lucky enough to get a ton of riding in last summer. Here are the places I rode:
Bethoud motocross track, Berthoud, CO: Great tracks, preped great, even on practice days. There are always a good amount of riders out there as well which is nice. Berthoud has a full supercross track and two motocross tracks a free style course and tons of open riding. It's my favorite place to ride for sure.
Lakewood (Thundervalley). This was a lot of fun. Great track, relatively hard, but preped well, and always a lot of good riders.
I'll keep you updated on the many more tracks I plan to ride in the Southwest US over the winter.
