Aloha, I am a Professional Windsurfer and film producer that resides on the beautiful island of Maui. My passion for windsurfing involves riding giant waves and enduring howling winds. I've been near-sited for most of my life and until recently wearing contacts was the only way I could be in the ocean and see well enough to survive the extreme conditions. Every time the saltwater would wash a contact lens from my eye I became a danger to myself and other windsurfers in the water. My vision is crucial in moments where I'm launching my windsurfing equipment 40 feet in the air or riding the face of 20-30 foot waves. I had my Lasik done last Friday at Icon Denver. Dr .Christensen did my procedure. My eye sight is better now than before I even wore glasses. I am healing up just fine and I can see the license plates on the cars passing by. I had a procedure called mono-vision where one eye is left a bit weaker than the other.
