An overview of Icon LASIK's technology
At Icon LASIK we have a wide range of instruments available to accurately measure your vision including the latest an optical biometry devices from Zeiss. We also use a nomogram to statistically determine how to produce better than 20/20 vision. Statistically, the more samples available the better the results. Since ICON has completed more procedures in Colorado, ICON's nomogram is the most accurate because it takes into account the environmental factors that are unique to Colorado such as the high altitude and dry air. This means you have the best chance for achieving your optimal laser corrected vision at ICON. Simply put, you are more likely to improve your vision to better than 20/20.

Icon has the latest Pentacam
The latest technology Icon has acquired is the Oculus Pentacam. The Pentacam images the anterior segment of the eye by a rotating Scheimpflug camera measurement. This rotating process supplies pictures in three dimensions. The center of the cornea is measured very precisely because of this rotational imaging process.

The measurement process lasts less than two seconds and minute eye movements are captured and corrected simultaneously. By measuring 25,000 true elevation points, precise representation, repeatability and analysis are guaranteed. The result is your Icon doctors are able to properly understand your vision before surgery, then using one of our advanced lasers such as the NIDEK EC-5000 or the VISX CustomVue Wavefront correct your vision to better than 20/20.
